About Picanol

Picanol is a Belgian weaving machine manufacturer based in Ieper. The first Picanol loom was built in 1936, designed by the Spanish engineer Jaime Picañol, after whom the company is named. Picanol builds its machines entirely in-house: from its own foundry, where the cast-iron components are made, all the way to the electronics, as even the looms’ electronic boards are developed internally. Every rapier and airjet machine is designed and checked in every detail, to the highest quality standards.
